The Art of the Chiropractic
Adjustment
The most important
part of chiropractic care is the examination of the patients spine. It is the basis
for determining if intervention is needed and for analyzing the effectiveness of care.
One
of the primary focuses of our facility is examining and analyzing the spine.
A chiropractor must select the most appropriate technique for each patients unique
situation and perform that technique with great skill. Subluxated vertebrae are adjusted
through small forces the chiropractor introduces onto the spine. The body then uses these
forces in repositioning the vertebrae. The chiropractor has to know as precisely as
possible where, when, and in what direction the force should be introduced.
Technique alone however does not comprise the art of chiropractic. As with any art, the
art of chiropractic is much more than the mastery of techniques. It embodies and expresses
a philosophy. The philosophy is a foundation of concepts that are unique to chiropractic.
These concepts
are expressed through the art of chiropractic. This provides a rock solid foundation for
practicing chiropractic as an exciting expression of a highly research and reasoned
philosophy.
